Oddly, They Match

I get a word of the day emailed to me. And this is what I got today: Word of the Day: Numen (noun). Hmmm, you pronounce it just like the name Newman. Of course when I hear newman I think of, well, Newman!
Here’s the definition as given to me.
Definition: (1) The spirit, driving force or divine presence (but not a
deity) residing in a particular kind of object or place; (2) creative
powers or spirit, a muse with attitude and muscle.
Oddly enough, if you know the character, it actually kind of fits the definition. Now that’s ironic.

He is a bit of a ‘force of nature’ in his own way, isn’t he? Who wouldn’t want a visit from the Newman muse?
