I don’t get Marilyn Manson. I thought Alice Cooper was much more original and did his shtick in a time where what he did was on the edge. Marilyn Manson, not so much. Let’s face it, there’s just nothing original. It’s all a bad stage show. That he sells so many records amazes me. Of course that people watch American Idol amazes me too, but what the hell do I know.

I was browsing a website, Star Muscle, yes I know, I blame the little woman for my celebrity gossip problem, and there was a post about Marilyn Manson’s new album and how it came about during his divorce, yeah, him getting divorced, who would have guessed that. Anyway, the post pretty much sums how I feel about him.

This overprocessed, lame computer drum beat, and layered voice tracks with the demon filter set at 10, will be another piece of garbage who’s cd isn’t worth being used as a coaster for my gin an tonic. Welcome to rock and roll, freako. Hey, I thought you liked pain anyways. A lame stripper breaking your heart shouldn’t hurt you that badly. The thing that kills me is that Marilyn Manson has nothing real about him. His voice is computerized, his makeup is lame, and his videos are made to be ricky enough to piss off enough people so that his negative publicity will get free press and sell records. Then the kids buy the cds to rebell against their church going parents. He is the ULTIMATE POSER!

Yup. Can’t really argue those points. Oh and do check out the comment on the website. Again another pithy point that can’t be argued.
